When Samsung decided to remove the Note 7 from the market, fans of the Note series weren't very happy with it. This has been proven by the amount of people who have taken to online communities to attest to not returning their Note 7 devices despite the recall. Needless to say, a lot of people love the Note series which is why the arrival of the Galaxy Note 8 is pretty much anticipated. With that said, the question that remains is when the next Note phone will be released.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Release Date
As of now, most tech new sources still stick to a mid to late 2017 release prediction for the Note 8. This is pretty much due to Samsung's lack of a clearer statement as to when they will be refreshing the Note line. Nevertheless, despite the company's silence on the matter, it's still great news that the Note 8 will indeed be released. If you may have recalled, rumors about Note series' cancellation have spread soon after Samsung has discontinued the Note 7. It was said that the company considered the thought of removing the Note line altogether because of the brand's stained reputation.
Nonetheless, as it turns out, Samsung will not be depriving Note fans of getting a new Note device. A report has come out a few weeks ago saying that Samsung will be giving discounts to Note 7 owners when they buy the Galaxy S8 or the Galaxy Note 8 in the future. This, of course, is only applicable to Note 7 owners who returned their devices in exchange for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge. This promo is also only applicable in South Korea.
Needless to say, it's safe to say that the next Note is indeed coming and based on past releases, it could arrive mid to late 2017. The last Note was released September while the Note 5 was released August. The Note 4 on the other hand was released October. With that said, it's safe to assume that the Galaxy Note 8 should be released not earlier than August of next year. It could also once again launch just in time to compete with Apple's upcoming iPhone.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Rumored Specs
Right now, there isn't a lot of things said about the Note 8 yet. Keep in mind that the Galaxy S8 is expected to come in approximately three months so it's pretty much understandable that it is the S8 that is making headlines right now. As for the Note 8, the only things rumored about it is that it should be powered by next year's latest Snapdragon processor which could be a Snapdragon 830 or a Snapdragon 835. The Note 8 should also have the new AI assistant named Bixby who has been rumored to be introduced in the Galaxy S8. As for the price, Tech Radar says that the Note 8 could be at around $850.
Needless to say, the most important thing about the Note 8 is that there is a good chance that Samsung would no longer encounter the same issue as what they have experienced with the Note 7. The company has learned their lessons about quality assurance the hard way. With that, it's safe to say that the Galaxy Note 8 will be given extra attention so as to avoid explosions and controversies.
