Another Sony Xperia smartphone code named C670X may soon make its appearance, sporting a 4.8-inch display, 13-megapixel camera and more.
Sony recently launched the dust and water resistant flagship smartphone Xperia Z and now rumors indicate that the company will also launch another smartphone code named C670X.
"We have received word of a new Sony Xperia C670X handset that is due to launch this summer. The information comes from a tipster who recently provided us with the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean screenshot for the Xperia Z. Obviously, as with any rumour, treat all of the following with a pinch of salt," reports Xperia Blog.
When compared to the 5-inch display of Xperia Z, the C670X is expected to sport a slightly smaller 4.8-inch full HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 (APQ8064T) processor clocked at 1.8GHz will power the device.
The C670X is expected to include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board storage, and a 13-megapixel Exmor RS camera at the rear of the device. Rumors suggest that Android 4.2 Jelly Bean will come pre-loaded on the smartphone and the device will make its appearance sometime in the middle of 2013.
"Along with all of this spec information, we were sent a render of the Sony C670X. We cannot tell from the picture if the C670X has a heavy glass influence like the Xperia Z or uses aluminium. Judging from the render, the ear speaker is similar in style to the Z/ZL. It looks like the top of the phone includes a front-facing camera, notification light, light sensor and proximity sensor," reports Xperia Blog.
The competition in the smartphone arena is heating up, with many top-end smartphones expected to make their appearance soon in 2013. Many smartphone enthusiasts are waiting for the highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5S.
