With the Surface Pro 4 still dominating the market, there is no question why a large group of the public is eagerly awaiting the Surface Pro 5. The new hybrid device from Microsoft is expected to come in 2017 and is already being called one of the best tablets for next year. It's estimated specs, design, and accessories will surely set it apart from its competition.
Tech Times has already stated the Surface Pro 5 as one of the Best Tablets of 2017 and it is clear to see why. Though the Redmond-based company has given no official announcement on the upcoming unit, various leaks have indicated that it will definitely be a contender. After all, the Surface Pro 4 is already a wonderful piece of technology that might just need a facelift to fit the times.
The device is expected to arrive mid-2017, which is more than enough time for Microsoft to milk the Surface Pro 4, which was released in October 2015. The Surface Pro 5 is expected to come with Intel's seventh generation Kaby Lake processor, which is sure to provide the device with more power than before. It is also likely to follow the footsteps of the incumbent unit, which has 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB of RAM options.
However, unlike the reigning device, the Surface Pro 5 is expected to come in a variant that will provide 512GB of internal storage space. Furthermore, it is estimated to have a much better battery life, as this has been one of the few but constant complaints in the current generation. The imminent release is also sure to come with a USB Type-C port, which is fast becoming standard.
PC Advisor adds that the Surface Pro 5 is expected to arrive in the market with improved accessories as well - particularly the Surface Pen. The Surface Pen is expected to attach magnetically to the device and will take advantage of this to charge. It could be that Surface users will soon bid adieu to the AAAA battery life.
