Argentina Wins First David's Cup Championship; Team Returns Home To A Heroes' Welcome

Argentina's Davis Cup team just won their very first championship title in tennis' premier international event last Tuesday. They went home to their hometown and were greeted with the heroes' welcome as they brought pride back to their country.

Argentina Team Has Finally Won The Davis Cup After Having Almost Had The Title Four Times

The Argentina team has been a finalist for the Davis Cup for four times already and this has been the first time that they have ever won. According to Juan Martin del Potro, it felt like a historical moment to be bringing home such an iconic prize back to their hometown. After having struggled to make their way to the championship, the hardwork has finally paid off as they won their first championship.

According to Del Potro, they have all wanted for Argentina to win after having been so close to being the champion but never has been, until now. It is such a historic achievement for the team and it felt good for all of them to have the cup home with them. Previously, they have lost the Davis Cup to United States in 1981, Russian in 2006, Spain in 2008 and 2011. Now, they have finally taken the pride of being champions.

The Players Had Their Heart In Winning The Game, Giving Extraordinary Performances

According to the Davis Cup captain Daniel Orsanic, the players have achieved extraordinary results in the game and they should well be praised for their performances. Del Potro was singled out for having his entire heart in the game which was a big help for the team in finally winning that title. Del Potro stated that in his entire career, he has taken home so much pride and successes. However, there is nothing compared to having finally won the Davis Cup, claiming that he will be able to sleep soundly at night knowing that they have finally won. The fans then cheered them on as they come home victor to the Davis Cup.
