Pokemon GO became an instant hit following its official release earlier this year. Soon after, though, its ride in the market was a bit of a rollercoaster. Players were suddenly quitting, as they find the game to be a bit boring. This is when the requests for additional features surfaced. Fortunately, in the past few weeks, Niantic was quick to keep the show running. With the success of two events (Halloween and Thanksgiving), fans are now wondering what the studio is up to next.
In a report from Pokemon GO Hub, the developer is determine to deliver two things -- both of which are considered to be the company's main priorities. The first one is to ensure that everything is well-covered in terms of build and update release costs. The second one is more about guaranteeing the impact of a new gameplay that the studio plans to add.
It's safe to say that Niantic wants to keep the engagement in Pokemon GO intact. After all, if more players are into it, the higher the chances of the game staying ahead of its competitors. And this is really a must, considering the fact that many have already complained about the title's lack in features. This is the topic about Gen 2 becoming ripe, most especially as the day passes by.
It's already not a secret that among the things the community wants to see in the game is Gen 2. Now, rumors are pointing to the possibility of the developer dropping it come December 7. This all started from a leak courtesy of a Starbucks employee.
The aforementioned Pokemon GO leak points to a partnership between Niantic and the popular coffee chain. That, in one way or another, the game's developer will put out a series of events, with each existing in the every outlet of the store. If this is to be of truth, then one can say that Gen 2 Pokemon will arrive via a real world event. But of course, anything can be possible.
It's really interesting to see what kind of gig the company will be up to in the future. And if the said update indeed gets released on the suggested timeline, then all players will definitely be there to celebrate. Well, they'll surely know it sooner or later.
