Latest NBA trade rumors point to a four-team deal between the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Brooklyn Nets and Washington Wizards. The Celtics could be at a greater advantage at this time, but who's on the losing end?
DeMarcus Cousins, John Wall To Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics are apparently the big winner if this four-team deal will be realized. The Sacramento Kings' DeMarcus Cousins and the Washington Wizards' John Wall are top-caliber players reported to make a crossover to the Celtics in exchange of point guards Isaiah Thomas and Marcus Smart, and rookie Jalen Brown. In a recent report from The Washington Post, college buddies Cousins and Wall are said to have often talked about an NBA reunion.
Both Cousins and Wall are sure fit to suit up in green on top of the Celtics' Bill Russell, Larry Bird and John Havlicek, among others. From the looks of it, the Boston Celtics will be gaining greater value from sending out a couple of fledgling talents.
Isaiah Thomas, Brook Lopez To Washington Wizards
Following reports of Cousins and Wall's desire to reunite, the Washington Wizards have been looking into the possibility of trading its point guard to have Isaiah Thomas back on its team. Shipping off the Wizards' second most valuable player, it is never a handicap for the team to bring in its former veteran point guard no matter if Wall dominates every stat category compared to Thomas. The difference is insignificant which makes it rather least to be considered a threat. Not to mention, the Brooklyn Nets' center Brook Lopez could also be moving to the Wizards.
Marcin Gortat, Amir Johnson To Brooklyn Nets
Shipping off center Brook Lopez to the Washington Wizards does not appear to be more of the Brooklyn Nets' advantage, especially knowing that the Wizards' center Marcin Gortat has been considered up in this trade. Lopez and Gortat's stats differences can be noticed well enough to conclude that it is never wise for the Nets to let go of Lopez. Even if Boston Celtics' Amir Johnson plus a first-round draft pick in 2018 would cross over with the team.
Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown To Sacramento Kings
At the end of this deal is the greatest disadvantage for the Sacramento Kings. For one, giving up DeMarcus Cousins for rookies doesn't sound right for the team as of now. If the Kings will indeed be welcoming the Boston Celtics' Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown, the team is in danger of going full circle, starting at the bottom. On average, Brown scores 5.5 points per contest while Smart makes 10 points per contest.
