Samsung Galaxy S4 Renderings Are Fake

The rumors surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S4 seem to be gaining momentum as the March 14 release draws nearer. Recently, a rendering of the Galaxy S4 was released by @evleaks on Twitter; but now that rendering is revealed to be a clever fake.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is undoubtedly one of the most-awaited Android smartphones of 2013. Samsung seems to be on track to launch the Galaxy S4 on March 14 at its Unpacked Event in New York. The invitations read "Ready 4 The Show" and "Come And Meet The New Galaxy," indicating that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S4 at the event.

Tipster @evleaks previously posted accurate images of HTC One but now reports indicate the Galaxy S4 rendering was a fake. @evleaks has also removed the rendering from the Twitter post.

"We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that Galaxy S IV render we reported on yesterday is not real. Or is it good news? A good few of you didn't even like the design, understandably. But either way, it was found out that it is a placeholder image made by an Expansys web designer. And evleaks, who provided accurate images of the HTC One before anyone else, was unfortunately mistaken about its source," reports DroidDog.

If the render of the upcoming Galaxy S4 was real then it would have resembled the Galaxy Note. However, we are once again in the dark, as the design of the Galaxy S4 is not known.

This is not the first time that a Galaxy S4 rendering has turned out to be a fake. Previously, a rendering of the Galaxy S4 appeared on Twitter and showed off the upcoming smartphone's front-facing speakers: a shift from the existing Galaxy S3, which has the speakers in the rear of the handset.

March 14 is just a few days from now, so we will have to wait a little longer before Samsung takes the wraps off its much-awaited Galaxy S4.
