The demand for SUVs is currently at an all-time high. This is happening not just in the U.S. market but also in other places. BMW seems to be looking to capitalize on this opportunity as it brings more "M" branded SUVs in the Australian market. But will the automaker also bring more to the U.S. shores?
More BMW 'M' Branded SUVs
According to a report from Car Scoops, BMW stated that the "M" branded models of SUV will be expanding in the years to come. "When we see what our customers want, we give that feedback directly to Munich. More SUV models make perfect sense and we will be looking in to that as part of our strategy moving forward in order to identify what opportunities actually exist to exploit that growing demand," said BMW M's vice president of sales and marketing, Peter Quintus, in the same report.
No Rush In Arrival Of 'M' Branded SUVs
Despite the "M" branded SUVs being confirmed to come in the auto market in the coming years, there is apparently no rush on the side of BMW regarding its arrival. Quintus stated that there is no rush in the coming of the new "M" models since any "M" variant should stick to the automaker's philosophy of being track-ready as reported by Motoring. Quintus also added that the "M" brand's philosophy is a little bit different from its competitors and despite having less on its lineup, it managed to hold its own against its competitors. That being said, the automaker is not looking to make all its vehicles a variant of the "M" brand, as reported.
What About The U.S Market?
Whether BMW will also bring the "M" branded SUVs in the U.S market remains to be seen. Given the fact however, that the U.S. is one of the auto market with the highest demand for SUVs, there is a high possibility that this particular model of SUVs from BMW will also be landing on the shores of North America.
