Prey's Game Awards Trailer Shows Players Can Turn Into A Coffee Mug

The Game Awards 2016 has been exciting, sentimental and shocking and when we mean shocking, we cannot miss out the part where Bethesda revealed 8 minutes of gameplay with their upcoming first-person shooter video game, Prey. While there has been no confirmed date of release for this very enthralling game, Prey's trailer proves that the title is weirdly interesting gamers would find themselves immersed into.

Prey's trailer was introduced by Creative Director Raphael Colantonio and Lead Designer Ricardo Bare. The new trailer showed off some of the abilities and weapons Prey's protagonist, Morgan Yu (male or female, your choice), can have that will be used to defeat the strange gooey creatures she will be facing. The game is set on a space station filled with secrets and perilous shape-shifting aliens that Yu will face, aided with various tools, powers and weapons to survive. For puzzle fans, Prey should definitely be in your to-play list as it also features exploration and a whole lot of shooting, of course (it's an FPS).

Developed by the same genius of a studio that brought us Dishonored, Arkane Studios, players are in for a wild ride as Prey's main character is capable of "mimic matter" wherein it becomes any item they want. In Prey's Game Awards 2016 trailer, it showed the hero turning into a coffee mug, thus is able to get through a security hatch. Talk about weird fun and a whole lot of new opportunities to try out.

Aside from Prey's coffee mug moving about in an office by rolling, the awesome gameplay trailer also gives us a clear picture of what the protagonist will be fighting off - enemies that can pretend to be all sorts of stuff which pretty much gives us an Alien movie vibe, a good thing really since it will be more fast-paced.

Prey is said to be released in the first half of 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
