Overwatch players must watch out for the upcoming update of the game. Dataminers have discovered new information through the code. The update will have new maps, Christmas-themed skins for the characters and an event but Blizzard has not yet confirmed if these are true.
What To Expect In The Rumored Overwatch's Update?
Dataminers have figured out what the Overwatch Holiday event will hold for gamers by finding out interesting things in the code. The game has a Halloween-themed event before but according to PVP Live, there is a big chance that a Christmas event similar to Junkenstein's Revenge is on its way.
Also, four new maps are rumored to be added in Overwatch. One of the maps will have a holiday theme to it. It is still not sure if only one map will be having the Christmas vibes. Every player should also get a holiday themed spray, voice line and victory pose.
Characters such as Widowmaker, Reinhardt, Mercy, Symmetra, Reaper, Sombra, Roadhog, D. Va, Ana, Soldier: 76, and Lucio might be having a new costume, an emote or a highlight. While Winston, McCree, Mei, Pharah, Zarya, Tracer, and Zenyatta might be having two of either costume, emote or highlight.
The dataminers are saying that the latest event of Overwatch might be live on Dec. 13. Players can enjoy the event for three weeks according to them. However, they should wait for the official announcement of Blizzard.

Blizzard is very happy that Overwatch has dominated the Game Awards 2016. The game was nominated for six awards but it won just three awards such as Game of the Year, Best Multiplayer and ESports Game of the Year.
Blizzard won the Best Game Direction. When the developer won the award, it is a proof that it can produce and can create the best games that involve online multiplayer. Overwatch has defeated four video games such as Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
Overwatch is one of the best games today. Players are happy about the rumors circulating on the internet that it will be updated just like other games with Christmas theme in it. Hopefully, Blizzard will release an official statement to address the rumors soon.
