It appears that the infamous MMA fighter, Conor McGregor, has been offered a job spotlight in one of the most famous fantasy TV shows in the world. McGregor, who recently received his boxing license as well as being the first fighter to hold two UFC belts all together, is allegedly appearing in Game of Thrones upcoming season.
Conor McGregor To Have An Important Role In Game Of Thrones
A newspaper report in Belfast reveals that the Irish MMA fighter could be in discussions to appear in the final two seasons of Game of Thrones. Per The Sunday Life, an unknown source stated that McGregor has been approached to join the HBO franchise.
Addition to that, The Sunday Life also stated that one of the Game of Thrones directors is a huge fan of UFC. Thus, HBO talent hunted McGregor itself. If the reports are to be believed, the Irish MMA fighter could be portraying an important barbaric role in the show.
The creators and producers of the famous HBO blockbuster Game of Thrones, David Benioff, and D.B Weiss are known UFC fans. In fact, both Benioff and Weiss appeared on the UFC Unfiltered Podcast alongside Matt Serra and Jim Norton back in July.

Now, McGregor is taking some lay low away from the arena. In addition, his first child with partner Dee Devlin is coming in May next year and his preparing his fatherhood as early as possible. The Irish MMA fighter appears to need rest from his entire career.
Meanwhile, McGregor asked for a chance to detox himself from heavy workloads in recent fight years. In the past 12 months, McGregor fought four times which includes his iconic lightweight and featherweight title victories.
Evidently, it's not the first time that Conor McGregor has been offered a role in Game of Thrones. In fact, the 28-year-old Irish MMA fighter has already trained by Hafthor Bjornsson who portrays Gregor Clegane or "The Mountain."
