T-Mobile To Launch QWERTY BlackBerry Q10 In May?

T-Mobile may not get its way and become the first carrier in the U.S. to launch the BlackBerry Z10, since it seems AT&T will be getting that honor. But if the latest rumors are true, T-Mobile instead will reportedly be the first to launch the QWERTY-equipped BlackBerry Q10 that many BlackBerry fans and another big carrier are waiting to get their hands on.

According to N4BB, a BlackBerry rep told the site that T-Mobile will begin offering the QWERTY-equipped and much more desired BlackBerry Q10 sometime in May.

This is much sooner than Verizon's announcement that it would begin selling the BlackBerry Q10 sometime this summer. If T-Mobile is the first carrier to launch the device it could be a huge win, as most BlackBerry fans have been waiting to purchase the BlackBerry Q10 over the all-touch BlackBerry Z10. BlackBerry fans aren't the only ones waiting for the physical QWERTY-packing BlackBerry Q10. Sprint has already announced that it has no plans on carrying the all-touch BlackBerry Z10 and will instead wait for BlackBerry to release the Q10.

Many view BlackBerry deciding to launch solely with the all-touch BlackBerry Z10 as a bad strategic move, as the physical QWERTY keyboard is what the company is known for. BlackBerry has managed to keep many loyal users while waiting for the company to release smartphones running its next-generation BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system. It should have made it a priority to give its users what they want out of the gate, and anyone can tell you the QWERTY keyboard is what makes a BlackBerry a BlackBerry.

The BlackBerry Q10 features a 3.1-inch, 720×720 Super AMOLED display with 330ppi, dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, 8 megapixel rear camera, 2mp front-facing camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage expandable to 64GB with microSD slot, 2100mAh battery, NFC and LTE connectivity.

If the rumors are true, T-Mobile customers will be happy to know that they will be getting the BlackBerry that should have been.
