'Code Black' Season 2, Episode 11 Spoilers: Angels Memorial Deals With Emergencies During A Blackout; Woman In Labor Trapped In Elevator

Angels Memorial will face a big problem in "Code Black" season 2, episode 11. There will be a massive blackout in the city and the hospital doesn't have any backup generators. How will the doctors attend to the patients in the understaffed hospital? Meanwhile, Kathleen Rose Perkins will be making an appearance in the series as a psychiatrist in Angels Memorial.

"Code Black" season 2, episode 11 will feature how the doctors will handle a code black during a city-wide blackout. Code black in the series refers to a situation when there are more patients than the available resources in the Emergency Room. In other hospitals, code black may mean extreme conditions like bomb threats, personal threats or severe weather.

The official synopsis for "Code Black" season 2, episode 11 reveals Elliot Dixon (Noah Gray-Cabey) and Dr. Heather Pinkney (Jillian Murray) will be trapped in the elevator with a pregnant woman due for labor. On the other hand, Dr. Ethan Willis (Rob Lowe) and Dr. Amanda Nolan (Kathleen Rose Perkins) will help a 92-year-old woman with dementia who thinks it's 1942.

Dr. Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) and Dr. Will Campbell (Boris Kodjoe) will try to to transfer high-risk patients to a nearby center with electricity. Other guest cast include LisaGay Hamilton as Dr. Kim Carrie, Albie Selznick as Dr. Silverman and Meg Steedle as Dr. Kelly Pruitt.

Meanwhile, "Code Black" season 2 suffered another decrease in ratings. Episode 9 recorded 5.92 million views, which is 4.10 percent lower than episode 8 with 6.17 million views. A previous report speculated that the medical series will be canceled due to subpar ratings.

"Code Black" season 2, episode 11 titled "Exodus" is directed by Jet Wilkinson and written by Corey Evett and Matthew Partney. The episode will air on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
