Netflix has recently revealed its upcoming list of original movies and documentaries that are scheduled for airing in 2017. The movie streaming company has detailed a wide range of originals slated for the company's world premieres to be held at Sundance starting on Jan. 19, 2017. One of these original releases is "Burning Sands" which will have its launch on March 10, next year.

Another original release from Netflix slated next year is "Deidra & Laney Rob a Train." It is a story of two teenagers who started to rob banks after their mother was imprisoned to make ends meet. Another original movie for 2017 release is entitled "I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore." It is a story of a woman and her neighbor who gets entangled with a group of dangerous criminals.
Also scheduled by Netflix for 2017 is an original movie entitled "The Discovery." As the movie promo says, this is "a love story set in a world where the afterlife has been scientifically proven, and as a result, millions of people start taking their own lives to 'get there." The movie stars Robert Redford, Jason Segel, and many others.
Unscripted Reality Shows Will Also Be Scheduled For 2017
Ted Sarandos, the chief content editor of Netflix also announced that they are planning to release 20 reality or unscripted shows in 2017. These types of shows "is a very interesting business," said Sarandos. He added that the company's emphasis is on shows that are "more likely to travel internationally."
Overall, the original programming schedule of Netflix will be more than 1,000 hours in 2017. This is double the quantity of these types of the show aired by the company in 2016. The chief content editor specifically mentioned the movie "Ultimate Beastmaster." This is an athletic competition series that will be directed by Sylvester Stallone. This show is designed to travel and will have localized versions in Japan, Germany, Mexico, South Korea, Brazil and the United States.
