Here's Why The Witcher 3 Is The Best RPG Game, Again

In the recently concluded Game Awards 2016, The Witcher 3 has proved once again that it is worthy to be named the Best RPG in 2016. The game has bagged several awards but what really makes this Italian-themed game the best?

The Game Awards 2016 held in Los Angeles featured some heavyweights which are no less worthy than The Witcher. There's Overwatch from Blizzard, Uncharted 4 from Naughty Dogs, and Inside from PlayDead. All of them are popular and have big fan bases as well.

The Witcher 3 is about the pale monster hunter Geralt of Rivia. Its new DLC, Blood and Wine continues his epic saga as he traveled around the countryside killing monsters that are dangerous to humankind. This DLC took home the gold and without a reason.

First of all, The Witcher 3 DLC is all new. It might be an expansion but it offers players a lot of new things to explore, use, and discover. It even has new monsters to hunt and kill. It also features enhanced weapons and gears as well as new quests to complete. But the one thing that stands out about this DLC is that the game is set in a whole new map. It retained everything the players love about the game but all the other elements are new.

Before the Game Awards, The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine DLC also bagged the major awards at the Golden Joysticks Awards two weeks ago. It won the Best Storytelling and Best Visual Design. CD Red Projekt, the game's developer, took home the Studio of the Year Award. Moreover, Doug Cockle got the Best Gaming Performance award for giving life to Geralt.

The Witcher 3, like its character Geralt of Rivia, showed that even an old sod can trump the newcomers through hardship and dedication. Hopefully, CD Red Projekt will continue to bring in quality games on the table.
