Oda will appear in Yuri on Ice episode 11 next to real-life TV Asahi critic, Taihei Katō. The latter plays Hisashi Morooka. Morooka is known by fans as an announcer that idolises Yuri. He is also a figure skating enthusiast.
Grand Prix Final Showdown
We saw the previous episode, Yuri finished only fourth in the Rostelecom Cup. Yuri on Ice episode 11 will see the beginning of the Grand Prix Finals. The fan-favorite character will compete with five competitive and talented skaters. These include Christophe Giacometti from Switzerland and Jean-Jacques Leroy (JJ) from Canada. Otabek Altin from Kazakhstan, Phichit Chulanont from Thailand and Yuri Plisetsky from Russia are also competing.
All the athletes are mentioned to perform competitively to be a victor in the Grand Prix Final. JJ is one of the crowd favorites. He already managed to win two golds in the preliminary. This is expected that he will be one of the strongest finalists in the Grand Prix.
Otabek, on the other hand, started a little bit strong on third in the latest World Championships. It was the same fight where Viktor won his fifth gold medal. Though the other competitors are fearful too, all eyes though will be on Yuri.
