It looks like Kevin Love continues to be the subject of numerous NBA trade rumors going around recently. This time, the Cleveland Cavaliers' power forward has been rumored to be in a seven-player exchange deal with the Boston Celtics. Will his team consider?
The latest NBA trade rumors suggest that Cleveland Cavaliers' power forward Kevin Love has been tapped by Boston Celtics to join their roster in exchange for their core players. Apparently, Celtics is very much willing to undergo a seven-player deal to obtain Kevin Love in their team.
According to reports, the alleged seven-player deal will involve power forward Kevin Love and small forward Mike Dunleavy in the Celtics as well as power forward Amir Johnson, small forward Jae Crowder, small forward Jaylen Brown and point guard Marcus Smart in the Cavaliers.
It was also noted that the said NBA trade deal would be a legal transaction under the NBA trade and salary cap rules. With all the hindrance clear, could this be the go signal for Kevin Love to jump in the Boston Celtics? Will the Cleveland Cavaliers consider giving up their key player?
Given Kevin Love's impressive start in the first quarter of the 2016-17 season of NBA, the idea of trading him off might be a bit far-fetched. Considering his 21.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per game on 43.1 percent three-point shooting, it will be no surprise for Cleveland Cavaliers to keep him for a while.
Meanwhile, according to reports, Boston Celtics may not benefit much if the said trade comes to fruition. Acquiring Kevin Love in their roster would definitely be a plus but it also has its drawbacks. It was pointed out that having Kevin Love's offensive skills on the team might affect the defensive end with Amir Johnson being traded off. There might be issues with the team's point guard and small forward as well so the idea might be too risky overall.
So far, no confirmation has been made regarding the said NBA trade rumors involving Kevin Love. Whether he remains in the Cleveland Cavaliers or be traded off to the Boston Celtics is yet to be known.
