All About Westworld
Westworld is not your usual science fiction television series. The series was based on the 1973 film of the same name. It was then recreated by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy for HBO. They are joined by some of the notable names in the industry such as J.J Abrams, Jerry Weintraub and Bryan Burk. Their production staff are seasoned veteran already and they were expected to deliver in their series premier. Well, they did live to the hype and expectation from the fans.
The series debut of Westworld reportedly garnered the highest viewership ratings for a premiere since the first episode of True Detective in 2014. Yes, HBO Network struck gold with Westworld. The first season premiered last October 2, 2016 which ended on December 4, 2016. The series contains a total of 10 must see episodes and was able to compete with other TV series.
Westworld Season 2
As mentioned, the series ended already last saturday but prior to ending the show, they already renewed their contract for season 2. As per reports, Westworld Season 2 will be released on 2018. This was the original plan of the team but it would be no surprise that they might show it earlier than expected. In a TV series, it is a must to follow up a successful season immediately. Nevertheless, we all know that the production team is capable of outdoing themselves but they really have to think twice about their release dates.
