With just less than a week left before “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” finally premieres on cinemas, a lot of fans have been treated to interviews from the cast. Along with the rampant promotion of the upcoming “Star Wars” movie, it has released footages and trailers. On Dec. 7, Disney has dropped the official Chinese version of the “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” giving fans more than just a peek of what to expect in the movie. The trailer featured scenes that were never before seen. It also shed light on the main characters of the upcoming movie.
The "Rogue One" trailer as usual opened presenting a young Jyn Erso and her father, who actually has huge role in the movie. It was revealed that Jyn was recruited by the Rebel Alliance not just to destroy the Death Star but also because the message the Alliance received was from her father, whom she had never heard from of since he was taken by the Imperial troops. Driven to find her father, she takes on the mission.
The trailer also revealed more of the new characters who will be part of Jyn Erso’s team. Cassian Andor, a Rebel Alliance Intelligence officer assembles a team comprised of a droid, an assassin, and a warrior. The team will be accompanying Jyn and Cassian during the mission. Aside from spoiling some of the story, the Chinese trailer showed explosive battle scenes that the “Star Wars” have always effectively conveyed.
