The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is about to get a lot hotter as the company reveals its new color: Martian Pink.
At the time of its launch in September 2012, the Galaxy Note 2 came in only two boring, typical colors: white and gray. Since then, three more colors have made the Galaxy Note 2 a bit more palatable for the eyes: Amber Brown, Ruby Wine and Martian Pink.
It's said there's a Topaz Blue variant coming as well, but the actual release date has yet to be revealed by Samsung.
The problem is that these fun new colors have only made it to certain markets and carriers, and have yet to make it to other markets, like the U.S.
Unwired View discovered the Martian Pink Note 2 on Samsung's Hong Kong website and noted the lack of any "fanfare" in an article published on Monday, March 11.
Basically, here we go again with Samsung just letting out a new phone feature without actually mentioning it. We have to find it on our own and, well, so now we have.
The first occurrence of the Martian Pink Galaxy Note 2 turned out to be an HSPA device. This latest pink Note 2 is an LTE-ready Galaxy Note 2.
Although Unwired View speculates that the Martian Pink Galaxy Note 2 will not arrive in the U.S., Gotta Be Mobile has a different opinion. The site feels that since the original HSPA+ Note 2 that came in pink was only released in Korea, perhaps this latest pink Note 2 phone will be permitted a release in other markets besides just Hong Kong (whose Samsung site shows the phone) ... such as the U.S.
At the moment, the only colors the U.S. Galaxy Note 2 comes in are gray and blue. Samsung has yet to decree whether or not the pink variant will come out here in the States.
