Final Fantasy XV Tips, Tricks: Locate The Best Swords, Greatswords, Polearms, Firearms And Shields In The Game

One of the best things about Final Fantasy XV is its impressive post-game content. Knowing how difficult the post-game content is, you'll need more weapons in order to defeat the enemies. Here is a list of the best weapons found in the game including their specific locations.

Soul Saber

Soul Saber is one of the legendary weapons acquired after the Chapter 15 post-game. You will be given five quests by Randolph at the back-alley in Lestallum. After the fourth quest, you will then acquire the Soul Saber. In order to kill Phalaris, you need to be at level 80 or more.The Soul Saber has 202 attack points including +3 critical and +12 Max MP.

Ultima Blade

The Ultima Blade is the upgraded weapon that Noctis owns in Final Fantasy XV. It can be obtained through following the "A better engine blade" quest with Cid. The ultimate sword boasts of 208 attack points, +3 Critical. +40 Max MP and +30 Magic.

Balmung

The Balmung, an impressive game sword, is located in the Steyliff Grove Dungeon. This is the dungeon you will visit in Chapter 7 with Aranea. However, you need to wait until the 15th chapter to acquire the sword. Head to the second dungeon area found behind the sealed door in the main dungeon. Balmung has 248 attack points including +3 Critical and +11 Max MP.

Dominator

The Dominator is a light, elemental sword used for killing demons. The sword is located inside the buildings in the North of Alstor Slough in Duscae. You can also get them in the post-game areas of Keycatrich Trench Dungeon upon reaching the first camp.

Apocalypse

The Apocalypse is located in the Balouve Mines Dungeon. However, you can only open it up in the post-game. With 332 attack points, +2 attack and +403 Max HP, it can be found once you reach the camp.

Vigilantes

The Vigilantes are cool looking daggers found in the Glacial Grotto dungeon behind the sealed door. You will only access the weapon once you reach Chapter 15. The daggers will instantly drop on the floor after you camp.

Zwill Crossblades

Zwill Crossblades are a unique type of weapon that can give you a magic boost with full HP. Same as the Soul Saber, this weapon is given only once you finish the post-game Chapter 15. You will find Randolph at the back alley in Lestallum where five quests await you. These daggers will only be awarded upon finishing the fifth quest. Killing Naglfar through fire, ice, lightning and light is the best strategy to consider

Executioner

The Executioner is a weapon with a unique skill able to give a 50 percent damage to the enemies. This powerful gun is located in the Glacial Grotto dungeon after chapter 15. Behind the sealed door, at the very end of the dungeon, the weapon drops.

Flayer

Flayer is the best polearm in the game lashing out 80 percent damage to its finishers. It is found at the Steyliff Grove dungeon, after opening the sealed door and ventured into the second half of the dungeon in the post-game. With 211 attack points and +4 critical, no wonder it is one of the best weapons in Final Fantasy XV.

Aegis Shield

The Aegis shield has a 10 percent chance to nullify any incoming damage. With 172 attack points, this weapon is found in a post-game dungeon behind the sealed door in Steyliff Grove. It can be found in the second area of the dungeon just after the first post-door camp.

Death Penalty

The Death Penalty is Vincent's most used weapon in Final Fantasy 7. Its strikes instantly kill the enemies. This weapon is found in a post-game dungeon inside the Balouve Mines. It drops at the very end of the dungeon after the last battle.

Zeidrich Shield

This powerful shield is one of the legendary weapons that Randolph helps you to find after you reach the post-game Chapter 15. Found at the back alley in Lestallyum, Randolph will give you 5 quests to slay powerful monsters. The shield will be rewarded after the third quest. You need to be at level 75 to defeat two Sir Tonberries.
