"Shameless" season 7, episode 12 will bring death to a member of the Gallagher family, who in turn will have mixed feelings about it. Frank is on for a new scheme, even bringing Debbie, Carl and Liam with him. He will get into a messy fight with Fiona. Meanwhile, Kev and V are planning a revenge.
In "Shameless" season 7, episode 11 titled "Happily Ever After," Ian and Mickey had a sad farewell as Mickey boarded for Mexico. However, it is not the end for the two. In an interview with TVLine, Noel Fisher, who plays the role of Mickey, said there's still hope that the couple's relationship might work out.
"I think they definitely can. The love is there. The dedication to one another is obviously there. I think it's more circumstantial, and [about] whether or not that's actually best or in everyone's highest interest. I think that's a better question," Fisher said.
Episode 11 also revealed Kev and V having found a job at the bar where Ian used to work while Fiona was contacted by an assisted living facility. The official synopsis for "Shameless" season 7, episode 12 titled "Requiem for a Slut" suggests Monica's death but the Gallagher family will have mixed feelings. They will find Monica's possessions and Fiona and Frank will have a fight.
A sneak peek video of "Shameless" season 7, episode 12 shows Fiona Gallagher discussing the burial with a burial booking agent together with Veronica Fisher. Fiona said she wanted something fast and cheap and the agent discussed their expensive burial plans before Fiona suggests she wanted something for $500 and less. The agent joked that would give her a cardboard box and a liter of gasoline and Fiona said she'll take that one, much to the agent's surprise.
Frank has a new scheme and he's using the Gallagher kids -- that is, retrieving Monica's belongings. Another video of "Shameless" season 7, episode 12 shows Frank and the kids sneaking somewhere. Debbie asked why they aren't using the front door and Frank answered that their mother said she has something valuable to give the kids.
"But it might be dangerous to try to retrieve it," Frank added. The kids asked how dangerous it is on the scale of 1 to 10 and he answered it might involve the Drug Enforcement Agency. Now, the question is, who is going to open the coded lock? Frank asked the ages of the kids. Debbie is 16 while Carl is 15 so he sent Liam to avoid punishment if ever they are caught and asked him to punch the code to open the lock.
The preview for "Shameless" season 7, episode 12 reveals they will find drugs and Frank and Fiona will have a rather ugly fight on what to do with it. Fiona wants to dispose it while Frank wants it for money. Kev and V are planning a revenge on Svetlana. Svetlana is really smart so they need a concrete plan for this to succeed. Meanwhile, Lip is going to take some measures towards improving his future.
Plot spoilers aside, reports say this might be the last season for the comedy-drama series. A previous report suggested that "Shameless" might not be renewed for season 8 as Emmy Rossum, who plays the role of Fiona, is asking for a bigger salary and negotiations are still at a standstill. This might cancel, if not, delay the renewal for another season of the series.
