Honda Brings Updated CB1100 To US Market

New generation riders are not always into the latest kinds of rides. Some have a knack for retro-flavored motorcycles. For those that fancy themselves as old school ride enthusiasts, 2017 is a year to look forward to. An old school taste is coming back as Honda is said to be releasing an updated CB1100 to the U.S. market.

The CB1100 Exterior Updates

Honda has confirmed that the CB100 EX will be part of next year's lineup. In addition, the CB1100 has been updated in terms of performance and style. The most notable modifications in the appearance of the CB1100 are found in its new fuel tank design along with its new LED lighting and 18-inch wire-spoke wheels.

CB1100 Performance Updates

In terms of performance, the 2017 CB1100's 1140cc air-cooled engine has also received some modifications. Along with a new shorter exhaust system, the 2017 CB1100 also has new air cleaner and shorter inlet tracts. In addition, the CB1100 has also been made smaller and lighter, thereby making its low and midrange RPM perform in a more efficient manner. Lastly, downshift wheel hops have been reduced by 16 percent thanks to its new assist/slipper clutch.

Honda Knows What It's Like

Being one of the best names in the automotive industry, Honda knows how it feels like to ride old school motorcycles. "As with past CBs, we understand the timeless pleasure that our customers get from owning and riding an air-cooled inline four-cylinder motorcycle. Building on the CB1100's desirability and joy of ownership, while adding functionality and quality to deepen the sense of fulfillment, were very important elements for us to consider. With the CB1100 EX, we hope many riders get to appreciate and understand a very traditional motorcycle structure," said Mr. Mitsunobu Imada, Large Project Leader for the 2017 CB1100 EX.

Price And Release

For now, information about how much the 2017 CB1100 is going to be has not yet been revealed. However, it was confirmed that the 2017 CB1100 will arrive at dealerships in May next year and pricing details should come beforehand.
