The Importance Of New Buildings
Getting new buildings in Stardew Valley allow you to expand your farm. As a result, you can make more money from these expansions that will help you earn more money into the game. Just like with the farmhouse upgrades, you have to talk to Robin the Carpenter for you to know resources you need to build new buildings. Right below are the breakdown of all the farm buildings that you can buy or build to upgrade your farm:
Barn
This farm building allows you to buy cows. It can house a maximum of four cows. To build a barn in Stardew Valley, you will need 150 Stone, 350 Wood and 6,000 Gold.
Big Barn
Just like with a Barn, building a Big Barn will allow you to purchase more animals and house double their number given the larger size. That is, you can house eight animals in a Big Barn. Having this building in Stardew Valley also allows you to purchase goats. To build a Big Barn, you have to have 200 Stone, 450 Wood and 12,000 Gold.
Deluxe Barn
A Deluxe Barn in Stardew Valley is triple the size of a Barn so it can house a maximum of 12 animals. Aside from cows and goats, you can now buy pigs and sheep. Remember that having pigs are important if you want to make Truffle Oil, which you can sell later. You will need 300 Stone, 550 Wood and 25,000 Gold to build a Deluxe Barn.
Coop
Having a Coop in Stardew Valley allows you to purchase chicken. Just like with a barn, you can have as much as four chickens in your coop. You can have this building with 100 Stone, 300 Wood and 4,000 Gold.
Big Coop
The main difference of a Big Coop is that it comes with an incubator and you can now buy ducks. You can have a maximum of eight animals in a coop. To have a Big Coop, you need 150 Stone, 400 Wood and 10,000 Gold.
Deluxe Coop
The Deluxe Coop can house a maximum of 12 animals. You can have even more animals like rabbits once you have this building in your farm in Stardew Valley. But to get it, you need to have 200 Stone, 500 Wood and 20,000 Gold.
Mill
You need a Mill to create flour and sugar from your farm produce. Flour comes from wheat. You get the sugar from beets. To build your Mill in Stardew Valley, you have to have 4 Cloth, 50 Stone, 150 Wood and 2,500 Gold.
Shed
When taken into account, a Shed does not seem very helpful in the game. However, you can decorate this building any way you want it and fill it with some items for storage, as is its purpose. You can build a Shed with 300 Wood and 15,000 Gold.
Slime Hutch
The Slime Hutch lets you raise up Slimes that you can use to craft recipes later into the game. These recipes will be helpful when you have to complete the Adventurer's Bundle community project in Stardew Valley. A Slime Hutch allows you to house and raise up as much as 20 Slimes at a time. You can get the Slime Hutch for 1 Iridium Bar, 10 Refined Quartz, 500 Stone and 10,000 Gold.
Silo
The Silo is the farm building you need to be able to cut grass and store it for feeds. A single silo can hold 240 pieces of grass feeds. You can get this using several resources like 5 Copper Bar, 10 Clay, 100 Stone and 100 Gold.
Stable
Of course, if you want to keep a horse, you have to have a stable. Building one in Stardew Valley allows you to keep a horse in it, which you may use to ride for later. To build a Stable, you have to use 5 Iron Bar, 100 Hardwood and 10,000 Gold.
Well
A Well is important in your farm in Stardew Valley because it lets you refill your watering can. You need water to keep your animals in the farm. You can build a well with 75 Stone and 1,000 Gold.
