Stardew Valley Guide: How To Upgrade Your Farmhouse

Stardew Valley is one of those RPGs that lets you enjoy an open-ended country life experience. The game will basically let you experience farm life complete with a farm house and a farm that you have to upgrade as you progress in the game. To do upgrades, you have to have plenty of Gold and other resources to buy or build new buildings. Don't you worry; this guide will walk you through the how of it.

How To Upgrade Your Farmhouse In Stardew Valley

In Stardew Valley, the first thing that you have to do to upgrade your farm is to upgrade your farmhouse. Doing so will allow you to do many different things since you will have more room to move about than just a single room with a chair, table, bed, fireplace and TV to spare. There are three upgrades that you can do to make your farmhouse better. You have to travel in town and go north to the Carpenter Shop. When you get there, speak to Robin who is behind the counter and purchase the items you need for the upgrades. We listed down the three different upgrades you can do to your farmhouse in Stardew Valley and how much each one costs.

Upgrade 1

This upgrade will allow you to cook by adding a kitchen, a kitchen counter and a fridge. You can also add another bedroom into the house and make your singled bed a double one. You will need 450 Wood and 10,000 Gold for this upgrade. Don't worry. Once you get to the first upgrade in Stardew Valley, then you can get married.

Upgrade 2

Compared to the first upgrade, this one only allows you to add two new rooms to your farmhouse. Be aware that you cannot have children in Stardew Valley unless you already have this upgrade. Your first new room will be empty. But the second one will have a crib and an additional two single beds. You will also have a larger kitchen and main bedroom. To get this upgrade, you have to have 150 Hardwood and 50,000 Gold.

Upgrade 3

The last farmhouse upgrade you can make in Stardew Valley is to add a cellar. This will allow you to store up casks so that you can age alcohol and cheese and sell them so you can have more money in the game. You won't need any resources to do this upgrade but you have to spend 100,000 Gold.

How Long Will It Take To Upgrade A Farmhouse?

According to some players of Stardew Valley, upgrading a farmhouse for the first time can be done as early as Summer. Others put the farmhouse upgrade possible by either Fall or Winter. Of course, it will also help - a LOT - if you have plenty of Gold and other important items to do the upgrade.

So which of these upgrades have you done already? Have you upgraded your farm, too? If not, we have a guide to help you how. Stay tuned with us to get more updates in Stardew Valley as well as more game tips.
