MacBook Pro 2016 Vs Lenovo 2-in-1 Laptops

The MacBook Pro 2016 may not have been very pleasing to the eyes of laptop enthusiasts. The said Apple laptop has been widely anticipated because of Apple's lack of a new flagship laptop device. However, when they released the new MacBook Pro, not everyone was happy with the device's overall value. In fact, it has been compared with a number of other laptops just to see the difference in prices and features. Most of the laptops compared with the MacBook Pro 2016 are from the latest and most powerful Windows laptops and the most recent 2-in-1 devices from Lenovo. Let's take a look at how the MacBook Pro compares with its Lenovo rivals.

MacBook Pro 2016 Prices And Specs

Note that the MacBook Pro 2016's most talked about feature is its Touch Bar. Technically, this part is a replacement with the function bar that older versions have. Nevertheless, this feature can only be seen in the higher model 13 inch MacBook Pro and in the 15 inch MacBook Pro. The lower 13-inch model that's priced at $1499 doesn't have this function.

The said $1499 model of the MacBook Pro 2016 has a 2.0 GHz Core i5 processor, 256 GB storage and a RAM of 8 GB. It then has 2 USB C ports. The next-level 13 inch Touch Bar MacBook Pro comes with a 2.9 GHz processor and three USB C ports. It costs $1799.

If you want the highest-level MacBook Pro, you need to shell out at least $2399 for the 15 inch MacBook Pro. It has the Touch Bar and a 2.6 GHz Core i7 CPU. It has a higher RAM size of 16 GB and four USB C ports. Do note that the MacBook Pro 2016 can be boosted and comes with various storage options. That said, prices can vary depending on what you opt for. As per Tech Radar, you can get the ultimate version of the MacBook Pro 2016 if you're willing to shell out $4299.

Lenovo 2-in-1 Laptops

The thing about Lenovo 2-in-1s is that they come in different models. You can choose depending on your need and budget. Meaning, you can actually get a hybrid device for as low as $250. With that said, your $1000 can go a long way. You can get a top of the line device with a super powerful processor for just a little over a thousand dollars. This, of course, is more worthy of your money because we're no longer talking about a touch bar here, instead, you'll have the whole screen to touch. Also, being a 2-in-1 device, these laptops can turn into a tablet without any problems.

One of the best Lenovo 2-in-1s today is the Yoga 910. It starts at $1180 and it comes with up to the latest generation of Core i7 processors from Intel. It also has a massive 16 GB RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. Coming in with a 13.9 inch 4K high-def display, this hybrid laptop is a pretty good deal. If the MacBook Pro 2016 has a Touch ID, the Lenovo Yoga 910 has a fingerprint reader. It also has all the ports you need (USB 3.0 Type-C with video-out, USB 2.0 Type-C with charging, USB 3.0 with always-on charging). As a whole, powerful hybrid devices can give you more value for your money than premium expensive ones. Nevertheless, laptop choice is still based on personal opinions and preferences.
