The newly-released multiplayer horror game, Dead by Daylight, has a simple mechanic: stay alive as a survivor or chase and slay as a killer. However, the rules are not easy to execute as it sound. Here are the quick and simple tips on how to survive in Dead by Daylight.
Universal Survival Tips
The first thing you need to do is identify the killer. Is it The Trapper? Is it the Wraith? Is it The Hag, or is it something else? The signs are very easy to comprehend. Identifying the killer is your first main objective.
Don't run away when not necessary. If you finish a generator, don't run away. Even if the generator explodes, don't run away. Instead, walk and find a place to hide. Running will only leave clues for the killer to track you down so it should only be done once the killer sees you. Teammates are important. Save them, but don't risk your life for it.
How To Survive In Dead By Deadlight
The Trapper. Surviving The Trapper is pretty simple compared to others. Always watch out for traps on the ground. Trappers usually plant traps near generators, windows, and pallets. If you are right next to a hooked person while the Trapper is setting his trap, take this as an advantage and free the survivor quickly.
The Wraith. The Wraith spawn invisible and while he is invisible, you don't hear a heartbeat so you might want to keep track of him if he is being invisible or not. The Wraith is very slow when he is turning back visibility so make that as a lead. Take note that hearing a bell doesn't mean he is visible so ring it four times to make sure.
The Hillbilly. When being chased by a Hillbilly, don't run in a straight line. The Hillbilly usually patrols around the generators so always stay low and don't run immediately once hearing a heartbeat and a chainsaw. Once a generator explodes, look for a place to hide as fast as you can since he'll be around in just a matter of seconds.
The Nurse. The Nurse is very good at tracking down survivors. Again, do not run until being seen. Don't go in an open area too much and stay low. When the nurse is ready to teleport, do not run away from her. Instead, run towards her and try to stand directly in front of her. She can't attack when she is ready to teleport, take this as an advantage.
The Shape. Always watch your back when surviving against The Shape, or Michael Myers. You also need to keep away in his line of sight to deny him of his passives. If you are the obsession, always hide since some of them want to kill the obsession first.
The Hag. The simplest way to survive The Hag is to keep your chill and try to stay calm. When saving a survivor, watch out for traps. There are cases that hag traps can be disabled with your flashlights. If you triggered a trap, don't panic since not all of the time The Hag can reach to their trap and teleport to it.
