‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoilers, News And Updates: Cersei To Die In Upcoming Season? Sansa To Turn To The Dark Side?

Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) is hailed as one of the fiercest evil characters in "Game of Thrones" season 7. She had murdered a lot of people and it seems she has no plans of changing her ways. According to Headey, instead of amending her deeds, her character might even step up her nefarious deeds and commit more incomprehensible atrocities.

The Murderous Deeds of Cersei May Lead To Her Death

In "Game of Thrones" season 6, she killed the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) along with the Tyrells when she blew up the Sept of Baelor with wildfire. And because of her misdeeds, King Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman) who is also her son was forced to commit suicide. Headey said that in keeping with her character, she sees no change in Cersei in the upcoming season.

However, there are also some spoilers which indicate that she may die in Season 7. How this will happen is still uncertain. Since she is one of the most wicked characters in "Game of Thrones" season 7, there will not be a dearth of people who may want to end her life. One of these is Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). But Games Radar said that she will not go down without fighting.

Sansa Is Beginning To Turn To The Dark Side

In a related development, there are also some rumors that say Sansa Stark (Sophia Turner) might go down the path of the dark side in "Game of Thrones" season 7. She enjoyed the taste of revenge when she and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) were able to overcome Ramsey Bolton (Iwan Rheon) and got Winterfell back. Turner hinted that this may be the start of her character going down the dark side.

In an interview with Vulture, Turner explained that her character in "Game of Thrones" season 7 may get hungry for more power. It can be recalled that she played an important role in taking back Winterfell, but was sidestepped when almost all the accolades went to Jon Snow. Turner also mentioned that her downward slide to the dark side had already began when Sansa decided to wear Black in the Eyrie.
