Dreams Beta Release Date Pushed Back To 2017

The Head of Media Molecule studio announced that the upcoming beta release of Dreams will be pushed back to 2017. The company's new game entitled Dreams is known as the spiritual successor of LittleBigPlanet which will be exclusively launched on PS4.

According to the report from Game Rant, fans of LittleBigPlanet might wait for a bit longer as the release of the beta version for the upcoming game Dreams has been pushed back to next year. Meanwhile, the game's first look was originally scheduled to come out this year.

Dreams has been surfacing the internet for several years now, however, there are only few actual details that have been released at the moment. Based on the report, the game is dedicated only for the PlayStation 4 platform and would feature the kind of gameplay similar to LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway. However, according to Shuhei Yoshida, the President of Sony, Dreams will have more flexibility.

So far, only a few screenshots of the game have been released and a video of a rendering error which was released accidentally and ended up appearing like a teaser trailer for Dreams. Based on the report, the only thing that is heard in months regarding the game is the statement released by Media Molecule studio director Siobhan Reddy where she apologizes for the delay.

Reddy added that they had a very productive year this year given that the result of the development went positively well. She also said that they do not want their players to squint through a haze of bugs or unfinished features that is why they will be sharing all their progress to their players in the New Year.

Media Molecule is known to be always very ambitious and creative judging from their output on LittleBigPlanet which means delays like these are highly expected. The development of Dreams might take a bit longer than plan, however, the output would be more than worth the wait.
