As a year comes to an end, people look forward to things to come in the next. However, it is way too early to look forward to the future when there is still something special that remains to be seen in the present. The 2016 is ending with a bang as the 2017 Ford GT finally hits the road.
Missions Accomplished
Earlier this year, Ford Motors set out on a couple of missions and it was able to accomplish both. "When we kicked off 2016, we had two primary objectives for our Ford GT supercar: to excel at Le Mans and to start deliveries before year-end. We've achieved both," said Raj Nair, Ford Executive vice president, global product development and chief technical officer in a report from Autoweek. Nair stated that the all-new Ford GT showcases the automaker's strength in innovation and its commitment to delivering more for its customers, particularly in terms of lightweight materials, aerodynamics and EcoBoost engine technologies.
What The Hype Is All About
The hype has been through the roof regarding the 2017 Ford GT. This sparks curiosity among people that are hearing about it for the first time. The 2017 Ford GT is basically a couple of things: a very fast car and an expensive one at that. Reports state that the 2017 Ford GT is equipped with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that delivers more than 600 horsepower.
In addition, new technologies like low-friction roller-finger-follower valvetrain and port/direct dual fuel-injection have also been incorporated in the 2017 Ford GT's engine. According to report, the 2017 Ford GT is in the price range of mid $400,000 that easily makes it one of the most expensive cars in the market.
Limited Run
While the 2017 Ford GT has finally hit the road, not everyone will be able to get one. Aside from the fact that it is a very expensive car, it was reported that Ford will only sell the car in a period of four years. In addition, there will only be 1,000 models and buyers will need to apply for the opportunity to own a Ford GT.
