When thinking about 2017 flagship phones, it's easy to assume that the next iPhone is effortlessly the star of the year. What Apple fans do not know is that the Samsung Galaxy Note series is in no way inferior to Apple's best seller. Yes, the iPhones can hype the masses up without too much effort. However, the same thing is also true with the Note series. This is despite the Note 7's apparent failure.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Devices Still Kept By Some Buyers
Samsung has recalled the Note 7 not long after its launch. Due to the device's supposedly defective battery, it explodes unexpectedly. With that, a recall has to be initiated. However, about three months after the initial part of the recall, it turns out that not every owner was very cooperative with the process. Apparently, there are still a number of Note 7 owners who decided to not be a part of the recall process. With that, Samsung had to do more than just ask people to participate. As per Forbes, the company had to release new updates that would render the remaining Note 7 devices unusable.
This only means one thing, the Note 7 is amazing enough for people to take a risk. It is practically irreplaceable, because if it isn't, there's no reason for people to rebel from the company. It's worth noting that Samsung is pretty much begging for people to return their phones. The company even goes as far as giving people compensation even if they don't choose to exchange their phones with a different Samsung phone.
With that said, the only replacement there is for the Note 7 is its successor. The only thing that best resembles the Note 7 is the Note 8. This only means that the Galaxy Note 8 will be pretty much a big hit. This 2017 flagship will be the saving grace of the reluctant returners of the Galaxy Note 7. This simply suggests that the Note 8 already has buyers awaiting it. Unlike with the iPhone, the Note 8 is awaited by Note 7 owners. The iPhone 7 owners are probably divided into two parts with one part being contented with their iPhone 7 or 7 Plus and the other part being rich enough to upgrade to the new iPhone immediately.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Vs iPhone 8
The iPhone 8 is also one interesting phone. It is Apple's tenth iPhone release making it more special than its predecessors. However, upon seeing Samsung's consumers' rebellion towards the company, it's safe to say that a large portion of Note 7 owners are all awaiting the Note 8's arrival. It's hard to deny how hard it is to find a Note phablet replacement. Other smartphones are appropriate alternatives of each other, but the Note phone is practically the only model of its kind. It is the only smartphone that is premium, phablet-sized and has a stylus that's fully integrated with the device. With that said, it's safe to say that the Samsung Galaxy Note series will be on top of its game when the Note 8 gets released.
