Pokemon GO Update: Pichu, Togepi And Other Legendary Characters Set To Join

The latest Pokemon GO update has finally released by Niantic and some players are extremely excited about it. The new update will bring new dimensions to the game and will bring few iconic creatures in Pokemon GO.

New Pokemon GO Update And Start-Up Screen Upgrade

Fans will finally experience what the new update is all about. Originally, Niantic was planning to launch the new update next year but tides have changed. According to a credible Reddit user, the plan was changed due to two reasons only. First, to keep Pokemon GO players attached to the game by introducing iconic characters. Second, buy some time in developing other areas of the game. I’m not really quite sure about the second reason on what part of the game they are trying to develop but hopefully, it will make the game much better.

Here’s a few list of new characters that will be available once the new update is integrated on your Pokemon Go. Pichu, a small ground rodent that will eventually evolve as Pikachu. We have Togepi which you’ve heard before and Magby, a bipedal Pokemon. These are the first names that were mentioned to be added in the latest update.

The start-up screen in Pokemon GO is also changed. Due to Christmas season, the producers made a point to cope up with the festivities. On the new start-up screen, we will see Squirtle, Clefairy and Snorlax teaming up together in creating Christmas decorations. Also, Pikachu is included on the new start-up where the lovely character uses his powers to turn on the fairy lights.

Niantic’s Statement With The New Pokemon GO Update

To tell you honestly, I’m very much excited with the new update. Although I’m still hoping that they will release some of the legendary Pokemon such as Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno, I’m good with the new update already. The developer of the game reached out to their fans by posting a statement about the current update and the future upgrades of the game. They started by thanking all the fans and players of the game for sticking with them through ups and downs.

“We’re excited for December because we have a few new experiences and in-game events planned for you before wrapping up the year. While we cannot share all the details yet, keep an eye out on our social media channels on December 12th for details about the first addition of more Pokémon into Pokémon GO. “In addition, we are thrilled to announce that we are working with Sprint to create a special Pokémon GO experience at over 10,500 Sprint locations around the United States,” John Hanke stated.

“As part of this collaboration, Sprint, Boost Mobile, and Sprint at Radioshack stores will become PokéStops and Gyms, giving you, even more places to stock up on Poké Balls and Razz Berries and to battle your friends.Sprint locations will also feature in-store charging stations to keep your Pokémon GO sessions going even longer. Sprint also brings a great network and an unlimited data plan to support your search for Pokémon no matter where they are hiding”, he added.
