There's no question about buying Battlefield 1. I mean, with how impressive this game is, there's no doubt you'll get a good bang for your buck. But if there's one thing that divides the community, it's the question of whether or not the Season Pass (commonly known as Premium Pass) is worth buying. This topic would even get heavy the moment developer DICE releases the next four DLCs -- all of which won't be free. So really, what's up with the PP anyway?
First and foremost, the Premium Pass isn't free (obviously). It costs around $50, though it could be lessened to $45 if and only if you have EA Access. Think of it as a Savings Pass that most grocery stores offer these days. It gives you access to a variety of interesting stuff. As for players who don't have it, a likely set back of $15 is going to happen. This is particularly when acquiring the forthcoming updates.
Access To More Contents And Maps
Believe it or not, this is among the many things that Battlefield 1 players can get from owning a Premium Pass. Sure, the first DLC came for free -- with no burden of paying it with real money. However, it's worth noting that the forthcoming ones will have to be paid. Going back to the first DLC, PP members also have a great advantage. For one, they can get at least four brand new maps (plus the 10). It's basically a total of 16 new maps to enjoy. Now, if you think of it, it is way more than you ever thought of, right?
Brand New Operations
If there's something to be excited about playing the game, these are the Operations. These are simply your new way of playing the title, one that's completely different from how it used to be. They're all about domination and aggressiveness. There'll be two teams facing off on a certain battlefield. There, they must try to defend and/or capture the flags. But no matter how exciting this can be, it will only cost you more. Why? That's because you have to the expansion packs individually -- this if you're not a holder of Premium Pass. So, if you want to save up and reap all the excitement in one single sitting, go for it. You're hitting two birds with one store here.
Early Access
Of course, this is one of the things Battlefield 1 players would wish to have. Because really, who wouldn't love to have early access, right? Well, fortunately for Premium Pass players, they can do so. Anyone who owns this has at least two weeks in advance to play an expansion pack before it gets released to the general public. By the time the regular members are discovering the new content, you've already mastered it in one way or another.
Ability To Skip Those Dragging Server Queues
Sure, this might not be of significant importance; however, it can still get the worst of you. Later on, you'll realize that having the capability of skipping server queues is actually an advantage. People simply hate waiting. I mean, who loves that kind of thing anyway. With a Premium Pass, you're able to bypass this and make the experience all worth it.
