CSGO News: 25 Professional Players Have All United To Make An Open Letter For The PEA And The Whole Counter Strike Community

Have you ever wondered what it takes to become a pro? Well, we may all think that it's all fun and games with some setbacks during loses but in actuality, there's more to it than meets the eye. Today, all professional players from Cloud9, Immortals, Team SoloMid, Team Liquid and Counter Logic Gaming had all united to make an open letter and address their personal concerns regarding the PEA and the whole Counter Strike Community.

Open Letter To Professional Esports Association

Today, all members across five Esport organizations have banded together to create an open letter particularly addressing their dismay over the inconspicuous relationship between them, as Esport athletes, and the PEA as well as their respective organization which according to the letter, didn't commit to their words.

The players reiterated on their letter that the PEA and the owners of their organization didn't keep their words which were enunciated during the first announcement of PEA. In order to fully grasp the players' concern, here are the highlights of the said letter:

Rules - Players addressed their concerns over the rules imposed in the league as despite the initial promise of giving them the freedom and "authoritative voice" in the PEA, they were instead given the minority's voice which can easily be out-voted by the decision of the PEA and their respective team owners.

The current voting system in the league is as follow: three votes belonging to their player representatives (selected by all players), two votes belonging to representatives selected by team owners and two votes from PEA itself - with one vote titled to Jason Katz, the league commissioner which would sum up to a total of seven votes. Based on this system, one can easily say that the organization has more control of what is right and what is not as players have the minority's voice with regards to the matter.

Contract - : surprise

According to the players, the PEA and their team owners told them that they do not have the right to choose where they can compete and that the league intends to prevent all of the players to partake in the upcoming EPL. Because of these concerns, all 25 players across all five organizations have united to publicly express their sentiment on the PEA and the entire Counter Strike community.
