It appears that loyal Honda fans got themselves an early Christmas present. The long wait has finally come to an end as the 2017 Honda CR-V officially goes on sale and the best part is it becomes available just before Christmas.
The 2017 Honda CR-V Price
The price that buyers will need to pay for the 2017 Honda CR-V is higher than the previous model that used to have a price tag of $23,745 as reported by Auto Evolution. The next generation Honda CR-V has a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $24,045 for the base trim LX with front wheel drive (FWD) configuration. The all-wheel drive (AWD) LX costs $25,345 and it goes up from there as buyers move to higher level of trims.
2017 Honda CR-V Powertrain Options
The 2017 Honda CR-V has a couple of powertrains for the different trims levels. The base trim LX will be equipped with the same 2.4-liter naturally aspirated engine found in the previous model that is capable of delivering 184 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. The higher trims, starting from the EX, will have the new 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that can crank out 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. Accordingly, both engines are paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission that sends the power through a standard FWD and optional AWD drivetrains.
2017 Honda CR-V Features
Reports stated that the 2017 Honda CR-V has a seven-inch touchscreen for its infotainment system as a standard. Higher trims offer better options. Other standard features include remote engine start, dual-zone climate control, voice controls, two rear USB charging ports, heated side mirrors, automatic headlights and LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Lastly, the 2017 Honda CR-V now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as reported.
