Square Enix has recently announced the much-anticipated release date of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix and 2.5 ReMix. The developer stated that by March 2017, the game will be available on PlayStation 4. Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the game also released some update on the current status of Kingdom Hearts 3.
Fans Are Worried That KH3 Will Be Delayed Again Because Of The Re-mastered Versions
In light of the upcoming release of the remixed versions, fans of Kingdom Hearts 3 are worried that the development of the game will again be delayed. The remixed versions have already suffered delays, and with the developers' efforts focused on their release next year, work on the video game will be affected.
Utaru Hikadu Will Be Back To Sing The Theme Song
In a related development, it seems that Utada Hikaru, a Japanese-American singer, has finally committed to work on the theme song for Kingdom Hearts 3. This announcement was made by her father and manager, Utada Teruzane. Her father originally rejected the offer to work on this project since he believed that they were not being properly compensated by Disney for the work that they were doing.
The Utadas were working on the songs that will be incorporated in Kingdom Hearts 3. Utadu Hikaru has also collaborated with Japanese producer DJ Punpee. They produced a song for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue entitled "Simple & Clean," This song will be released in Jan. 2017.
Nomura Assures Fans That Game Development Is On Track
To allay the worries of the players waiting for the release of Kingdom Hearts 3, director Nomura stated in an interview that their work on the re-mastered versions are not affecting the developmental progress of the video game. He also said that the progress in modifying all the models are proceeding as planned.
He also mentioned that there will be some fundamental differences in Kingdom Hearts 3 and the 0.2 version but it is now possible for players to enjoy a PS4 quality of the video game. Fans are hoping that the director will be true to his words since they have been waiting long enough for this game upgrade.
