Super Mario Run 2 To Arrive Soon? Fans Suggest A Cheaper Version

Nintendo has recently sent out a survey to most of the Super Mario Run players which highlighted several suggestions like a cheaper version and a possible Super Mario Run 2 that could happen in the future.

Since Super Mario Run has officially gone live, it is undeniable that the mobile game has gathered an overnight success due to its nostalgic characters adopting in the modern gameplay. As to date, the game has gathered a remarkable 40 million plus downloads. In addition, the app also set an App Store record for the most downloaded game at launch. However, while many companies would prefer to settle down the aggression by relaxing and toasting to the game's wonderful performance, it seems like Nintendo is already thinking ahead regarding what they can do with Super Mario Run.

According to the report from Power Up Gaming, the survey was sent by Nintendo to their Super Mario run players who have their My Nintendo account linked to the game. As remembered, this is also a requirement in order to unlock the character Toad to the game. Based on the survey, there is one question asking the fans regarding their desired price for the full game of Super Mario Run.

As previously reported, Super Mario Run was initially available for free. However, players will be needed to purchase the full version that costs $10 in order to unlock the remaining levels of the game. With the recent survey, it seems like Nintendo is willing to change that initial price for their players.

According to the report from Game Rant, though Super Mario Run has made $14 million in three days span, investors of the company still expressed their concerns regarding the high price point of the game. As a result, Nintendo's stocks have dropped which will possibly lead the company on making Super Mario Run a free-to-play or just lower its price in order to calm down these stockholders.

Meanwhile, another question found in the survey is the company asking their fans for a possible sequel of the game. Despite the request of the fans, it does not necessarily mean that Nintendo will be working a sequel. However, if players from the first game love to have one, it seems like the chances of having a Super Mario Run 2 will be high.

Super Mario Run is now available on iOS while Android version is set to arrive around next year.
