Injustice 2 Update: Supergirl Featured On The Latest Gameplay

NetherRealm Studios has recently released an official gameplay trailer for Injustice 2 highlighting the combat abilities of an upcoming character. This new hero is identified as Supergirl which is expected to be added in the game's massive roster.

According to the report from Game Rant, it was revealed that Supergirl will be part of the game's roster ever since the company has announced the development of Injustice 2. Since then, the company has only given their fans minor details regarding her abilities and a short gameplay footage. However, currently, NetherRealm is revealing more of Supergirl's powers via the new video trailer.

Based on the video by IGN, Supergirl is absolutely no slump in terms of holding herself during battle. In fact, the former Kryptonian possesses a wide range of abilities when it comes to fighting with her enemies in the game. As a result, she could become one of the main characters to be selected by the fans once the game launches next year.

Supergirl's power is comparable to her cousin Superman. However, instead of brute force, she is more inclined to agility and various combo moves to keep her enemies down on their heels. For example, one of her known combo called as The Last Daughter of Krypton will assist players to enter into a momentum for a longer chain of hits. In addition, if players preferred to use raw power, Supergirl can also perform a knee-jerking move and throw her enemies on their heads using a power bomb. This move can be used either on its own or can be carried over into a greater combo.

Aside from being lethal at close-range combat, Supergirl also excels in long-range due to her set of abilities like heat vision, freezing breath and Kryptonian force tornadoes which also an avenue for higher hit combos and damage multipliers.

Injustice 2 is scheduled for release sometime in 2017 while there are still no confirmation regarding which platforms will support the upcoming game.
