Being one of the top-selling video games of 2016 and getting incredibly positive feedbacks from both critics and players, there's no doubt that the game community will hail Overwatch as the game of the year. To give back after such an overwhelming feat of Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch players have had received free loot boxes in celebration of the game's success.

Overwatch players can now claim their five free winter loot boxes in the game. This is a way for Blizzard Entertainment to give thanks to all its patrons who have been supportive of what the developer's endeavors. For the team behind Blizzard Entertainment, it hasn't been the easiest process to come up with such a phenomenal team-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game. The loot boxes were given away when player log in which started last Saturday, Dec. 24. The reward is still part of Overwatch's Winter Wonderland event which will run until Jan. 2. It free loot boxes contain unique sprays, emotes, victory poses and skins for the characters.
"Thank You" Message
Shortly after signing in, a "thank you" message will welcome players stating, "Heroes, it has truly been an eventful and amazin (sic) year, and we wanted to take a moment to thank you for being a part of it. We could not have done this without the tremendous support, passion, and enthusiasm that you've shown for Overwatch. From the entire Blizzard team, we wish you and yours the very best and look forward to spending an exciting 2017 with you!"
Overwatch Delivers 200 Million Payloads
On another news, Overwatch has been reported to have delivered 217,817,802 payloads as of this writing for the entire year since it was released last May. Approximately, this means Blizzard Entertainment was able to carry 30 million payloads a month or 1 million a day on the average.
