Natus Vincere or Na'Vi, the infamous Dota 2 team, hasn't been active in this season after their downfall in The International 6 and failing to qualify for The Boston Major. Na'Vi gained a lot of attention after three of their members left the squad and a reported 'internal issue' rolled out to the community. Lately, the team was surrounded by a lot of speculations regarding their final rosters. Na'Vi has finally spoken out and announced their official members.
A Brief History About NaVi
NaVi has always been the favorite team of the community. Their core player, Danil "Dendi" Ishutin is always a star in every tournament the team participates. This started after the team grabbed the first ever Dota 2 The International trophy back in 2011. However, as the time goes by and the meta changes, Natus Vincere's overwhelming performance is also fading away.
They managed to gain back their glory for a couple of times but they still failed to rise like they used to be. This year's events in the Dota 2 industry weren't so friendly with NaVi. They have performed poorly in The International 6 and failed to qualify for The Boston Major. The Boston Major was the first major in the Dota 2 history without Dendi and Team Na'Vi.
NaVi Previous Rosters And The Downfall In TI6
Natus Vincere's previous squad is composed of Dmitry "Ditya Ra" Minenkov, Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev, Ivan "Artstyle" Antonov, and the two who remained in the team, Dendi and Victor "GeneRal" Nigrini. Despite receiving a direct invite in The International 6, Na'Vi failed their fans by having placed at the bottom of the tournament. NaVi's failure to qualify for the recent Boston Major might have been one of the reasons three of their member left the team.
NaVi Official Roster For Spring Shuffle 2017
Earlier today, Na'Vi ended all the speculations regarding their roster changes including the issue that the famous Amer "Miracle-" Al Barkawi, who is currently playing for Team Liquid, joined their team. In their official Natus Vincere website, they announced the latest members of the squad. They surprised everyone by having a non-Russian member of the team, who was a former Team Alliance member and Digital Chaos coach, and two new unfamiliar faces.
The new members of Natus Vincere for the Spring Shuffle 2017 are Per Anders Olsson "Pajkatt" Lille, Roman "rmN-" Paley, and Malthe "Biver" Winther. Pajkatt will play as the captain of the team and a core role together with Dendi and GeneRal. The two new players, rmN and Biver, will play the support role. NaVi Director Yevgeniy "HarisPilton" Zolotarov stated in the blog that the new players they acquired have "personal qualities, communication in the game and in life, as well as the passion for Dota 2." Now the next questions we are going to ask ...
Who Is "rmN"?
Roman "rmN-" Paley is a German nationality who played a good level of Dota for years. rmN hasn't been in the professional scene that much but he is not a beginner. His MMR is over 7,700 and even played for popular teams like Kaipi, Power Rangers, and Fantastic Five.
Who Is "Biver"?
Similar to rmN, Biver hasn't played a lot of professional Dota but he once became a member of notable Dota 2 teams namely London Conspiracy and Prodota Gaming. Malthe "Biver" Winther is a player from Denmark with an MMR of 7,551. Together with rmN, Biver will play the support role.
