Pokemon GO Trading Feature Details Expected After Christmas Events End

Pokemon GO has slowly become the kind of mobile game that most fans hoped for. Although it still needs to take a good amount of steps, one can't deny the fact that Niantic's moving to that very direction. The release of two events, specifically designed for the Yuletide season, is proof to that. But hey, it seems the studio is actually brewing a rather intriguing feature -- the Trading system, that is.

It's no secret that the community wants to have a feature that'll allow trainers to trade items or stuff with other players. Heck, it's even considered as one of the most wanted features next to the PvP system. And apparently, the studio knows it. The devs know that players want it.

Fortunately, as reported by Express, details about the Trading feature will come to surface as soon as the two Pokemon GO Christmas events end. From there, players will get to understand how it's going to work. And more importantly, they'll have concrete knowledge as to how Niantic will unleash it.

The speculation even grew wider when a video (embedded below) from a YouTube channel called PatentYogi came to existence. The footage showcases the company's current and existing patents. Surprisingly, these elements point to how the studio will introduce the aforementioned system to the still-popular mobile game (for both Android and iOS).

The video explains that in terms of geography, Pokemon GO parallels to that of the real world. This can be best described by the patents discovered. Moreover, these patents refer to a so-called virtual transport system that the company itself developed. The aforesaid system is believed to be there for Pokemon or players to utilize as means of transport within the game's virtual world.

The transport system includes the likes of aircrafts and buses, among others. Of course, all of them exist virtually. So how does this system connect to the trading feature? PatentYogi explains that this transport means will be there to initiate various Pokemon swaps. The interesting part here is that Niantic (via CEO John Hanke) has been very outspoken about their plans of releasing a trading system via an update.
