The Top 10 Bestselling Games This Holiday Season

Christmas is already over and now comes the stats which show which games made the bestseller list during the holiday season. As usual, it is not surprising to see a Call of Duty game title dominating the top spot both in the US and in the UK.

According to GFK Chart, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has been the bestselling game the week before Christmas making the game a winner for three consecutive years already. In 2014, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was at the top of the list while Call of Duty: Black Ops III dominated the charts in 2015.

However, it was noted that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has not sold as many copies as Black Ops III did, yet it is interesting to note that the Call of Duty title has remained strong over the years and has never lost its charm towards gamers. With this in mind, many are looking forward whether Sledgehammer Games will still hold the ramparts in 2017.

Another game that has managed to retain its spot is FIFA 17 which comes in close second with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The game has occupied the second spot for three weeks already.

In the third and fourth spots were DICE's Battlefield 1 and Ubisoft's Watch Dogs 2 respectively. It looked like war can't be stopped despite the call for truce in Christmas Day. Meanwhile, Ubisoft must have been very happy to see Watch Dogs 2 climbing steadily to the top after a not so stellar launching.

Grand Theft Auto V also shows its resilience as it takes the fifth spot. So even if it takes Rockstar a much longer time to release GTA 6, fans still have the time of their lives playing GTA 5.

To complete the Top 10 list are Mafia III, Steep, Final Fantasy XV, Skyrim Special Edition, and Forza Horizon 3 which take the sixth to tenth spot in that order.
