Microsoft's Comeback To The Smartphone World Is Highly Anticipated

Microsoft is one of the most popular and influential tech companies in the current market. With that, people are always watching its every move, watching its every success and failure. When the company took over the Lumia brand, it practically made its fans excited for its new smartphone releases. When things did not turn out exactly well for the Lumia smartphones, fans were just as disappointed. Luckily, Microsoft doesn't seem like it is backing out from the smartphone industry anytime soon. In fact, the company has confirmed that it will be releasing the ultimate mobile phone pretty soon.

Microsoft's Smartphone Plans

Microsoft has confirmed that they will still be present in the smartphone industry. However, the company will still be moving forward at the same direction it has always been in. Meaning, they won't be releasing smartphones that are under the same category as your mainstream and popular smartphones. Microsoft will still be providing phones that will cater to the seemingly more important needs of the market.

In an AFR review, Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella said, "We will continue to be in the phone market not as defined by today's market leaders, but by what it is that we can uniquely do in what is the most ultimate mobile device," via Forbes. The company's CEO also said that they stopped doing things that were "me-too" and started doing things that are more "focused on a specific set of customers".

With that said, it's pretty certain that whatever Microsoft is releasing soon, it won't be very iPhone-like or Galaxy-like. It will still be "very Microsoft" in one way or another. The company may fix some issues, whatever they are, that made its past flagships not a big hit to the masses. However, with those statements coming from the CEO, we're pretty certain that the next Microsoft phone will still be high-end, business oriented and non-pop culture.

Microsoft Surface Phone Rumor

The Surface Phone rumor has been in the online world for quite some time now. Nevertheless, the company hasn't even confirmed its presence yet. The rumor may root from the said phone's actual existence or from fan's hopeful predicting, but we'll probably never know until Microsoft makes it official. The only thing that's certain right now is that if the Surface Phone indeed comes out, it will still be a business-oriented phone that will cater to the other needs of smartphone users, and not to the same needs your mainstream flagship smartphones can offer.

Needless to say, it's quite understandable if the company releases a flagship phone under the Surface division. This department of Microsoft has undeniably been very successful with its releases. Its latest tablet Surface Pro 4 has been well-commended by reviewers. Its Surface Book has been given a slightly improved successor which also suggests that this laptop is well-accepted by the masses. The all-in-one PC that was released recently is also quite a big hit. With that said, there's a good chance that whatever comes out of Surface's doors, may it be a smartphone or not, will still be a big hit to the market.
