Samsung To Release 3 New Smart TV At CES 2017

Samsung on 27 December confirmed that it will launch 3 new smart TV services at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 in Las Vegas.

The three services are Sports, Music and TV Plus. Samsung will also offer personalized content to consumers according to their preferences through the Samsung Smart Hub.

In 2017 viewers can expect more of the same, with LG, Samsung and Sony grabbing attention for their big-screen debuts, while upstarts like TCL, Hisense and LeEco try to make TV waves too. As reported by CNET, here are the trends the people can see at the CES 2017.

Non-4K TVs won't go away entirely in 2017, but at CES 2017 TVs will all have 4K resolution.

High dynamic range (HDR) just debuted last year but expect that the TV at CES 2017 will all have HDR feature.

As of now, LG is the only manufacturer capable of mass-producing big-screen OLED TVs. But until CES 2017 event arrives.

According to The International Business Times, Samsung is planning to unveil 3 tv services at the CES 2017. The options are Sports, Music, and TV Plus which will also offer personalized content to consumers.

At Samsung, one of our top priorities is ensuring that we are closely in tune with what consumers want and need from their smart devices and electronics,” said Won Jin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “With that in mind, we continue to innovate our Smart TV offering in order to provide the content experiences that our customers have come to know and expect from Samsung.”

The Samsung’s Smart TV ‘Sports’ service will provide sports lovers with news on when their favorite teams are playing, where they can watch and scores of their games. It will be possible in just one navigation page. Instead of having to flip through many channels to find the game you like, all details will be curated by the customized ‘Sports’ user interface.

The Samsung TV ‘Music’ service will provide Smart TV owners easy search of songs and can also identify songs on live TV or directly from the television programs. ‘Music’ will also make suggestions in the ‘Preview’ section of Smart Hub’s user interface for users to discover more new music and play songs as they please everybody's ears.

Lastly, the Samsung ‘TV Plus’ will offer an IP-based channels focused on premium content services through a new Smart Electronic Program Guide (EPG) solution. Samsung users will no longer have to wait for cable services to offer marathon sessions of their favorite TV programs and can watch instantly just by turning on a TV Plus channel.
