Top 4 Updates Battlefield 1 Must Have In 2017

No one can argue that 2016 is a great year and run for Battlefield 1. It came with authority, much like the most successful first-person shooter games of today. As the game continues to grow each day, so is DICE's task on making it (the servers in particular) stable and balanced. Of course, there are new features and whatnots as well. And yeah, a new kind of DLC. Regardless, almost all fans will agree that it still needs more, specifically on the update side. So, without further ado, here are 4 updates we'd like to see in the game next year.

More Of Those Infantry-Centered Maps

There's no doubt that Battlefield 1 excels in this division. It can even surpass the ones offered by the previous installments in the franchise. This has even gone a notch higher following the introduction of Giant's Shadow, the title's first ever DLC map. Most, if not all, offer a good space for lots of engagements. For instance, Amiens' design allow players to indulge in close-quarter combats and run-throughs.

However, in the past few weeks or so, DICE hasn't been that generous in introducing Infantry-Centered Battlefield 1 Maps. And take note, most of these aren't that really big in terms of size. With the impending release of the next content titled They Shall Not Pass, there's every reason for the studio to introduce such maps. After all, almost everyone wants to experience such engaging activities.

Robust Tools For Servers Ran By Communities

Devs can't deny that most server owners aren't happy with the current system of the Battlefield 1 server rental program. But hey, it's actually understandable. The program has been there for like a short period of time. (It's still new, so to speak). Next year, it might be a good idea for the developers to upgrade the feature. Perhaps, more robust and not-so detailed tools will be introduced. One epitome is the ability to kick and/or ban toxic players -- something that the system lacks. Heck, the studio can even resort to adding a password-entry system that will protect any servers from unwanted players or visitors.

Easy Access To Various Game Modes

One of the things that make Battlefield 1 an excellent game is the kind of experience players have in custom multiplayer modes. In multiple Custom Games, most Hardcore servers offer tons of unique and distinctive features. These includes the likes of reduced HUD elements, extra damages for bullets and weapon restrictions. The only catch, however, is that these are only available in the game's unofficial servers. It might be fun to see some of these in the official game. This might just be more entertaining for the fans. And yes, because of such, the game can even be enjoyed in a much wider scale than what it has now.

Air Superiority

If talking about aerial combat, Battlefield 1 got it all covered. And regardless of the map, aerial combats are still intense and filled with epic fights. Unfortunately, most of these are limited due to planes having a small quantity in the game. This could easily be fixed, though, if DICE decides to add more next year. And maybe from there, aerial combats will never be the same.
