Microsoft's Surface Studio is yet another success story from the Surface division. Apparently, shipments of the said All In One PC show that the device is hitting it big in the AIO PC industry. Fans may not have seen this coming considering the high price this device has. However, as it turns out, the Surface Studio's overall 2016 shipment is better than expected.
Shipment Status Of Microsoft All In One PC This Fourth Quarter
As per Digitimes, global shipment of the said AIO PC this fourth quarter was expected to hit 15000 units. However, much to fans' delight, the said PC could actually double its shipment and reach 30000 units, at least based on the wave of orders. Additionally, Taiwan-based suppliers say that Microsoft has already placed an order of 30000 units for Q1 shipment next year. This is pretty much unexpected considering that the Surface Studio is priced much higher than other All In One PCs.
Microsoft Surface Studio Sales Doing Well
Global shipments of All In One PCs see at least 3 percent on-year drop annually. However, since Apple hasn't refreshed its iMac line, Microsoft's Surface Studio could be taking away some of iMac's demand. It's worth noting that Apple is next to Lenovo as the world's largest All In One PC vendor. This means that if Apple buyers opt for the Surface Studio, Microsoft can snag quite a large number of sales.
