Don't Hold Your Breath For Super Street Fighter V; Capcom Says It's Not Gonna Happen

The release of Street Fighter V wasn't met with the best reception from fans, and a lot of people online were wondering if Capcom was going to stick to tradition and release a Super Street Fighter V. For any fan waiting on it, it's best not to keep their hopes up, since Capcom is planning to stick to the on SFV title and continually update it with new features as time passes by.

Matt Dahlgren from Capcom elaborated on the company's decision to stick to Street Fighter V, and in an interview with Event Hub, he said, "If someone wanted to start playing SF5 right now, they wouldn't have to worry about the possibility of their purchase becoming obsolete in time though they would need to fork over a pretty sizeable chunk of change if they wanted all characters immediately instead of grinding for them."

He also elaborated that players only really need the base version of Street Fighter V in order to be able to get all the goods that are coming to the game. Players can either get characters by purchasing the season pass, or by grinding their way through the game. The latter method may take more time, but at it's the closest fans will get to the traditional way of "working hard to get extras in games" as compared to paying for additional DLC.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, the first release of Street Fighter V was criticized for not feeling like a complete game as it lacked a lot of features. Capcom has been slowly trying to add updates to the game, but a lot of fans have been disappointed at the company for releasing an incomplete game in the first place.

Street Fighter V is now available for purchase, and buying the season pass will get the player any incoming downloadable content that Capcom is planning to release in the future.
