How Nintendo Stole From Itself And Became Successful

Stealing someone's idea is punishable by the law which could lead to imprisonment. But if you are stealing from yourself, if there is such a thing like that, is no problem. Thus, that is what Nintendo did, it stole something and adapted it into another to make the concept fresh and the result is amazing.

The 'stealing' that have happened refers to the concept used in Wii U that can now be seen in the upcoming Nintendo Switch. Just like the Wii U, the Switch is an oddly portable console which promises players a deeper game experience.

It can be remembered that the Wii U is not as popular as its predecessors but it has one of the best features imagined by Nintendo. The idea that you can play a game on the GamePad even if you don't have an external display was simply a great idea, especially among those with big families or friends.

Those who have owned a Wii U will remember fondly how they played Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 with the console acting as a kind of portable LAN party where one player gets to use the GamePad while the other uses the TV and a standard controller.

Then, there's also the unique feature of sharing information as seen in Luigi's Ghost Mansion where you can show one player information while hiding from another. Remember hunting your friends down with glee while you pose as a ghost without them having any idea where you were.

Wii U owners would always remember with fondness how they used to kill time with their consoles while waiting for their flights or on-board the plane with the console in front of them while the GamePad sat comfortably on their lap.

Not a lot of people might have understood the Wii U but for those who have experienced it thought that it was awesome.

These same features can be seen in the upcoming Nintendo Switch although designed and packaged differently. With the funkier design and smaller size than the Wii U, Nintendo must be hoping to conquer the heights and the group which the Nintendo Wii U failed to conquer.
