The holiday season was an exciting time for Pokemon GO fans as they have their favorite Pokemon wearing a Santa hat and sharing the joys of the Christmas spirit. The most popular, of course, is Pikachu whose yellow color perfectly contrasts with its red hat. Because of that, we want to see more of Pikachu wearing different costumes in future Pokemon GO events. Here are some suggestions that we hope Niantic would consider.
Pikachu Libre
Pikachu cosplaying as the wrestler Nacho Libre becomes even more adorable. This is the most recent variant of the female Pikachu and has appeared in a card game, the anime series, and a video game. The female Pikachu uses this costume when displaying the Toughness condition.
In Pokemon lore, a trainer can make his Pokemon tough when he feeds it Pokeblocks or Poffins made of sour berries.
The Pikachu Libre comes with a special move called Flying Press, which is originally an ability for fighting-type Generation VI Pokemon. This is the signature move of Hawlucha.
Surfing Pikachu
The Surfing Pikachu was introduced in a mini-game called Pikachu's Beach in Pokemon Yellow. This Pikachu variant is considered a very rare item which can be acquired as a Mystery Gift in Generation II Pokemon. It can also be found in Yellow Forest or given during Pokemon events.
This Pikachu variant has the special Surf move which can normally be seen in water-type Pokemon. The effect of this move is different in different generations. For example, in Generation II Pokemon, using Surf during a Double Battle will hit both opposing Pokemon.
Flying Pikachu
Flying Pikachu is simply a Pikachu variant with balloons. This variant has appeared in different spin-off games, such as Pokemon Dash, Pokemon Snap, and PokePark Wii: Pokemon Adventures. It even appeared in the manga series called The Last Battle VII.
