Subaru Says WRX STI Will Represent The Brand At Detroit Auto Show

The Detroit Auto Show 2017 is just around the corner. Given this fact, automakers that will be participating in the event are getting ready with their entries. Subaru on the other hand is different. Apparently, those that will be going to the event will only see a couple of cars from Subaru. The automaker says that the WRX STI will be the brand's representative in the upcoming event.

The Brand Representative

Subaru will only bring two cars 2017 Detroit Auto Show that will be taking place on the Jan. 14 to 22, 2017. Those cars will be a high performance Subaru WRX and the WRX STI. Following the recent consecutive success of Subaru, it is safe to assume that the automaker will continue its roll and show off in the next auto show. But it appears that Subaru is busy with something else.

A Three-Row Crossover Is About To Make A Debut

Despite the Outback, Crosstrek and Forester being the automaker's best sellers, the new models will not be making it to the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Apparently, a new three-row crossover is making a debut soon in the U.S. market. This could be one of the reasons why the automaker is holding back in the meantime. Unfortunately, there aren't many details mentioned regarding the exact model the new crossover will come in, people will just have to wait and see.

Why WRX and STI Get To Represent

There is a reason why the Subaru WRX and WRX STI get to represent the brand at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Reports state that the two are considered to be some of the best performance cars in the industry. In addition, they are not as expensive compared to other performance cars in the market. The WRX only starts at $26,695 while the WRX STI has a price tag of $35,195 as reported. Event goers can expect to see minor refreshes in the two models as the rest of the upgrades are yet to come in the coming years.
